HOW CAN AN EMOTION EDUCATION RESOURCE HELP ME?

All children can benefit from learning about emotions and using these beautiful emotion education resources.

Studies continue to show that social – emotional skills – such as self regulation, impulse control, empathy and problem solving, have a direct link to academic performance.  Research indicates that children who have the ability to regulate their emotions tend to feel happier, show greater motivation to learn, have a positive attitude towards school and can participate well at home and within the classroom.

It is critical that we support and teach our children how to identify emotions they are feeling and the tools they can use to manage their emotions and reactions.

As ‘co-regulation’ is a prerequisite to ‘self-regulation’ the ‘How Does My Body Feel’ boxset is an excellent tool for carers to use to teach children about emotions and the regulation tools that can be used when children are experiencing uncomfortable feelings.

Afterall, the little children who experience the really BIG emotions and who have difficulty regulating their emotions, are really the little children who need the most education, love and support.
